[Well, apparently the experiment was over. Sokka was glad for that. He was also in his rightful body. He had to suffer a kiss from Haruhi for it, but that seemed worth it to have his body back. A small price to pay and all that. That meant that with all the madness over, he could finally get back to work. He felt rusty, but once he was back in the smithy, everything just felt right. But he also didn't have much in the way to work on, which meant he was going to have to make a courtesy call to Luceti for work.]

So... that was one of the weirder experiments. But it was pretty harmless. I'd rate it about a three on the annoyance scale. I have no idea what I'm supposed to do with all these costumes I ended up with. [Maybe he can give them to Shiki. Surely she wants loads of peasant clothes.]

Anyway, there's a weapon shop in town - the Slash and Crash. Yeah, I know, cool name. I came up with it myself. Anyway, things are slow-ish around here, so we're willing to take some requests and commissions for stuff. Or, well, I am anyway. I can't make guns or anything, but your swords and spears and stuff? We've got that. We can also do repair or maintenance work too. So... just let me know. Or come in. That works too.

[With that out of the way, Sokka starts fixing his work area, noticing now that Haruhi managed to get it a little out of order. He'll spend the rest of the day doing manly things, like staring at his reflection in the fountain and sometimes flexing just a little to remind himself he's no longer a tiny five foot tall girl. On the way home he stops to stare at the Brigade building, thinking back to being in charge there. He then decides obviously he doesn't miss that at all and goes to get some food. He might also be willing to help make dinner tonight. He's had a little practice this past month.]

...I think I'm okay with that. [Funny; it's not as hard to say as she thought it might be, thinking back.] If the ceremony's that important, we could just have another one at home for the people who missed it, when we get back. As for the rest, I'm... not really in a hurry to start a family. "Someday" is good enough for me.

[Thinking like that, clearly she should've been the one to talk to Winry about family. ~~But lol, timelines!~~]

Someday... yeah. I'm good with someday. I mean, we're still young, right? [And three more years, they'd still be young. So. No rush.

The thought of having a second ceremony though. Maybe that would make sense. If it was a case where they did get home and remembered all this.]

I think we can call ourselves young for a good ten years, going by Luceti standards. There's people older than we are who aren't married or even thinking about it.

[Mind you they're here and not at home, and here makes for bad matchmaking, but hey. Fact is fact.]

Yeah. That's a good point. Though I guess it's not something a lot of people worry about while they're here, huh? [Maybe they worry about it a little too much.] I mean. We do have bigger problems.

Yeah, that's for sure. And actually, going back to the wedding thing...

I'd like to be able to share it with the friends we have here, too. We can't do that if we wait to go home.

[He'd been so sure they wouldn't get married here. But thinking about it, what she was saying made a lot of sense.]

... yeah. Some of the people here are practically like family by now.

I thought that might be the case. Besides, it would be a chance to get all those tough girls you know into fancy dresses.

[Okay, that makes Sokka stop and suddenly snerk.]

That? That might pretty much make it worth it. Especially if Toph is one of them.

Oh wow, I didn't even- [Okay, she should definitely not say Toph wasn't the girl she could envision in a dress.] Okay, we really need this to happen.

[Sokka? He has seen it once. Unfortunately it was because she was in love with him and wanted to impress him. And that's not a memory he would dare use against her. Not even when talking to Suki like this.

But creating a new instance for her to be forced to dress up? That he can work with.]

Well I'm glad you have your priorities straight.

I wouldn't say that. But it's okay when some priorities can mix and match, right?

Of course, of course. And a few extra incentives never hurt anyone, am I right?

Definitely not. Besides, they'd be happy to do it! It's for a wedding, after all.

Yeah. [Wow. He's really thinking about this now. It's not just some far away idea anymore. It's becoming real.] There's a lot of stuff we'd have to do. I mean, like... finding someone who will stand with me. [A best man. Someone who he can trust to look after Suki if something ever happened to him. Sadly... there aren't any names that immediately come to mind.]

[Suki can't help but get excited about it; it really is a dream coming true, and the idea that it might happen soon (ish) is even more exciting. Sokka has a good point there, though, definitely something to consider.]

A best man... looks like that's something to think about, then.

[Maybe if Aang was here- or if he'd stay- but right now that's not really an option.]

[Nodding and considering. Is Zuko really his best option?]

I guess you'd need to, you know... consider some people too.

...Well... of course there's Katara, and Toph. They're like family now. And Winry- I think she'd like to be a part of it.

Like family? Once we're married, Katara will be family.

Oh, sure, after. But right now we're not there yet. I don't want to get ahead of myself.

Okay, okay! I'm just saying. But you're right about them, they'd want to. [A pause and he cautiously adds:] Fenimore too.

Fenimore... you think? I mean, I'm getting to know her better, but wouldn't it be awkward for you? ...Or... her. Us.

Well. I know it's kind of weird. But come on... she's kind of like family now, you know? I mean. Sure, it's the Malnosso's fault for that, but still! And she's one of your warriors, besides.

Yeah, that's true. She'd definitely be invited, at the very least. It wouldn't feel right otherwise.

[By now he realizes they've been stopped on this bridge for a good while. Go figure. All serious conversations tend to take place on bridges, don't they?]

Well... anyway, it's not like we have to figure this all out in one conversation. I mean. We did have, you know, other stuff planned.

[She grins, tugging on his hand to continue on their way.]

I could sure use a break from thinking about all of that stuff for a while, sure.
