Sokka the 64th - [ Action/Video]

[Well, there it stands in all its glory. Sokka has the journal camera facing away from him, showing off his new boat, that looks like this (or like this when full mast), sitting out in the water. For a lack of other vessels, two canoes are hoisted and secured on either side, those being the Aila and Maza respectively. On both sides of the ship is painted something like this (only less lazy and technically saying '海洋精神' but this is Luceti okay). After getting a good view of the waves crashing on it, Sokka turns the journal back around to himself.]

So there it is, The Ocean Spirit, it's finally finished. All thanks to Brave Vesperia and other people. So... yeah, thanks everyone. Good job. We'll have its maiden voyage soon. Speaking of which - Hey Toph, you mind coming out here and making a dock? It would be... well, a lot more convenient.

Anybody who wants to come out and check it out, just use the teleporter in the barracks. I'll be out here on the beach for awhile.

[END transmission. He'll be there for most of the day, until the evening when he heads home for the usual dinner time.]

[AND LEAD AWAY HE SHALL. Good thing for teleporters and all that.]

The trick, of course, is not to use regular beer. It's not quite as tasty. [Speaking from experience, maybe.]

[Yeah, she...could really use a pick-me-up, as a second wave of fatigue hits her as she follows. But she pushes through it. Don't you say a word, Sokka.]

So what...puts the root in root beer?

[Well as long as it doesn't involve an actual pick-her-up, he'll keep quiet.]

Actually... I don't know. It's not even alcoholic.

[You know, there was a time when Toph would have been okay with Sokka picking her up, but, well...that time is past. And now she'll punch him royally if he does.]

So it's just like soda? Or tea? What is it?

[Hey, he's not making any effort to do so. Just casually strolling, opening up this here teleporter, and stepping inside.]

No, soda. Definitely soda. Just a different flavor. Katara's crazy about the stuff.

[And Toph follows him through--yeah, it gives her bending a bit of a jolt, but at least it's quick.]

...It's not like...healthy soda, is it? [Because Toph doesn't want any of that.]

[WHOOSH. Or perhaps there's a whoosh. Silly teleporters, who knows?

He steps back out, as if nothing ever happened, through the barracks.]

Healthy soda? Not a chance.

[Just. Like. Magic. Whoop-de-doo.]

Good. Then, yeah, I'd like to try some of this stuff.

[Just. Like. Science. (Sort of.)]

Well the good thing is, I already know you'll like it.

I'd better. [Pause.] And this doesn't count as payment for making your docks.

[And she's starting to feel a little less fatigued now--just needed to walk it off. Nothing she can't handle. Obviously.]

What, this? Think of this as a down payment. I'll have the goods later.

[Since she seems to be doing better, he puts a little more oomph into his walk. He had been dragging his feet, just a bit, so as not to lose her entirely.]

Well, you better, 'cause I'm charging interest.

Fixed or compound? [Hey, it's important to know.]

[And this is where Toph cared to stop learning about banking.] Whatever floats your boat. I don't care.

Water, in fact, is what's keeping it floating. [But look! The bar. Let's go in.]

[She follows him in, and--yup, wood floors, great.]

But it's also very true.

[Just follow Sokka's lead Toph, up on to this barstool. Not that he's... really thinking about her problem right now.]

[She listens closely, vision very much muffled--yeah, okay, he found a seat. So she wanders over there, slower than usual, until she finds the seat with her hands and hops in it.]

Doesn't make it any less lame.

Okay, okay. Yeesh, everyone's a critic.

[Oh but here's the random bartender of the hour.]

Two root beer floats, if you please!

[Hey, thanks, Sir Random Bartender. Toph holds the glass in between her hands and sniffs it suspiciously.]

This better be all it's cracked up to be, Snoozles.

Just try it, then judge it.

[Either way, he's digging into his.]

Okay, okay, fine.

[And she takes a sip, sweet, sticky root beer bleeding with vanilla ice cream. Hm...and after a moment's consideration, she picks up her spoon and starts going for the ice cream directly. Not bad, Thunderaxe. But she's too busy tasting to acknowledge that yet.]

[Oh, but he's picked up on the fact she likes it. She doesn't need to say anything. He'll just work on his own float with a self satisfied smirk.]

[She dips a finger into the glass and licks off the sweet stuff before it can run off.]

Okay, it's pretty good. I admit it.

[He picks up his float and then twists around in his stool, so he can lean against the counter.]
