[Well, there it stands in all its glory. Sokka has the journal camera facing away from him, showing off his new boat, that looks like this (or like this when full mast), sitting out in the water. For a lack of other vessels, two canoes are hoisted and secured on either side, those being the Aila and Maza respectively. On both sides of the ship is painted something like this (only less lazy and technically saying '海洋精神' but this is Luceti okay). After getting a good view of the waves crashing on it, Sokka turns the journal back around to himself.]

So there it is, The Ocean Spirit, it's finally finished. All thanks to Brave Vesperia and other people. So... yeah, thanks everyone. Good job. We'll have its maiden voyage soon. Speaking of which - Hey Toph, you mind coming out here and making a dock? It would be... well, a lot more convenient.

Anybody who wants to come out and check it out, just use the teleporter in the barracks. I'll be out here on the beach for awhile.

[END transmission. He'll be there for most of the day, until the evening when he heads home for the usual dinner time.]

[She's running her hand along the side and glancing over the edge, but she looks back at him after he's finished speaking.]

Honestly? ...It's kind of weird. But that's not in a bad way. It's interesting.

Well, it's sort of boring just sitting out here doing nothing. It will be more interesting when it's moving.

[But it's solid at least. Sokka gives it a reassuring kick along the side and his foot doesn't go through it.]

[She's a little surprised when he kicks it, but she's reassured when it doesn't move.]

Of course it's boring for you. I'll bet you've been on a ton of boats before. I've never been on...well, on a deck before. I'm sure I'll get bored eventually, though.

[He laughs at that.]

Already anticipating being bored, huh? I've only grown up on these things. It's not that bad.

How am I supposed to know whether or not I'm going to be bored? [She doesn't sound irritable despite the wording, though.] But I'm sure you aren't bored when it's moving -- or else you wouldn't have bothered to build one.

Yeah, exactly. [He turns around to lean against the railing.]

So... how have you been lately?

Lately? ...Well, nothing terrible has happened to me, personally, so I guess I should count myself lucky for here. [She shakes her head slightly, half-smiling -- it was a joke, but a bit of a morbid one.]

Walter's back -- I don't know if you knew him -- and another guy from my world, though I don't know him as well.

Walter... Walter... didn't he build the barracks?

[But people coming from her world? Now that's interesting...]

[She has to stop to consider that.]

Yeah. I didn't know he had it in him, but I guess he's fairly handy with carpentry.

I never met him before. [A shrug and Sokka starts tightening up some of the various knots used for the sails.] I just know Shirley mentioned him living with all of you.

I'm not really surprised. He's not really that social. He's more...single-minded. [Curious, she comes closer to examine the knots.]

[They're knots! Special Sokka knots. Very secure. The type that are now carefully guarded in a spirit library.]

Maybe I'll say hi to him or something.

[Huh. ...Not actually as interesting as she thought they would be.]

Well...he won't be exactly friendly. You might do better with Moses, even if he's a bit.... [smelly.] Unusual.

[Sorry Fen. But for most people, knots will always just be knots.]

Moses? What's he like?

He.... [Hmm. She doesn't really know Moses as well, but....] He's brash and loud, and he never wears a shirt. Or takes a bath, it seems. And he's always running around with that huge galf of his going [a deep breath, followed by a fairly bad immitation:] "Yaaahoooo!" [She takes a breath.] without ever seeming to think at all.

[A pause.] But he seems to be pretty reliable some of the time.

... yeah, he doesn't sound like the kind of guy I usually hang around with. Introduce him to Toph. I bet they'll get along great.

[Toph? Not so crazy on the baths. Unless it's a mud bath.]

[Since this comes after the "manliness lessons" announcement, she giggles.]

I don't think he knows his table manners, at least. But he's a good person. He's helped me out before, a little, and Shirley. [He also kidnapped Shirley once, but Fenimore doesn't know that.]

Well if I ever see him, I'll try to be friendly at least. Though if he's here long enough, I wonder if he'll change his mind about the shirt thing.

I don't know. He's seemed pretty consistant about it whenever I saw him, even when he was staying at Chief Maurits's hermitage, or on the battlefield. I guess it's possible, though.

Think he'll manage it even in the winter, huh? That'll be some dedication.

[She has to grin at that.] Okay, maybe he'll know enough to wear something for the winter.

I'd hope so. The winters here aren't bad, but most people aren't able to handle them.

Oh, I don't know -- as long as we don't get a blizzard like a couple of years ago, I think almost anyone could handle it. [Then again, her own winters were about the same as Luceti's, if a little warmer, so she assumes everyone can handle that much.] Unless you mean most people aren't able to handle them without a shirt. But I think that would be normal.

Well, yeah, I meant the whole wearing no shirt in the winter thing.

Oh. Then. ...I don't think anyone would want to handle it.
