Sokka the 60th - [Action/Voice]

[Today? Sokka is at the smithy. Honestly, are we really surprised by this? Seriously, this is kind of his thing. He is waiting for Winry, though. He wants her input on a project.]

It's been two weeks since the equinox. And we're finally getting a break from all the rain. Funny how the new season just kind of Springs up on you like that, am I right?

[Oh Sokka, you are hi-lar-ious. He wipes a tear from his eye even, pleased that he managed to let such a well-seasoned joke be released into the wild. Oh, speaking of wild.]

No but seriously, now that it's getting that time of year, how many people out here hunt and fish? I know, I know. Boo hoo, the talking animals. I've heard it. But is there anyone here besides me who still does that kind of thing?

[Also, lately Sokka is keeping a new little trinket in one of his pockets. It's something he intends to give to someone at the right time. After the small blunder of forgetting to bring it on Suki's birthday, he's keeping it all the time on him now. So even as he's walking away from home, he'll often put his hand in his pocket to make sure it's still there. He probably won't show it to just anyone, though.]

Of course it's solid! I've even rolled around in it a little. In fact, you can take a shot at it, if you want.

No, I think you should make the frame hollow instead. The lighter it is the less it will push down in the sand, right?

[He's come to realize people expect him to fail. He figured Winry was skeptical of it being sturdy enough to even stand.]

[Sokka has GREAT EXPECTATIONS. Except they aren't usually great. Or even particularly nice.]

Thanks. It's just too bad we couldn't tune it up. Make it a little more motorized and stuff.

[He starts to wheel the hand truck back, this time in a better spot. If she watches where he's going, she'll probably see him walk past the necklace.]

No, I think that would only be compromised by... the sand...

[The necklace is a blue band with a pendant attached.][He turns around and notices what she's holding. Is that- oh crap! He digs his hands in his pockets and comes up empty.] Uh... Winry? That's mine.

I kind of uh... well. It was a big romantic dinner. It was great. There was candles, flowers, a delicious meaty dinner. But... I sort of of forgottobringthenecklace.

[He grumbles and pockets it.] Anyway, that's why I'm keeping it with me at all times. There's no way I'm forgetting it again.

Of course! I'm just waiting for the right moment. And I have to do something to top her birthday dinner. It has to be really special.
