Sokka the 55th - [Action/Voice]

[This Lucetian has been returned from the Malnosso, after not too long a stay with them. He's kind of bruised up and is leaning on his left leg a bit much. But you'd never notice it from that kick in his step. With a big grin on his face, he's walking from the north end of the plaza on his way home, looking all around him at all the snow the recent snow storm left. And those icicles hanging on the trees! Beautiful! What a winter wonder land he's found!

And look, is that a stray squirrel in his path? Sokka will happily say hello to it until it runs away on twitch reflex. Oh well, that squirrel had important things to do! And that stray cat. And that deer. And that bird and- oh, he must be in the woods. Time to go back to the village. You know what? Despite not feeling all that well, after he gets to House 56 and informs his sister and girlfriend and that wonderful old chap from the Fire Nation he's home, he's got other places to visit. He has to let his friends know he's home. All his friends. Like his smithy buddies. His Straw Hat friends. People he's met randomly at the smithy when they go work orders. Xion, of course requires a visit. He doesn't exactly know where Frey lives these days, but darnit if he isn't going to work out and drop in on him too. He doesn't exactly feel bad about his argument with Haruhi. It was all a silly misunderstanding. So he'll just drop in on her too. And his teachers and, oh, did he ever find out about Regal's proposal? And then there's the pirate the slayer and other friends and... yeah, catching up with everybody is kind of an all day thing. He'll drag himself home that night.

Oh, but fortunately before he arrives at home, he does leave a voice message for everyone.]

Man, everyone says those Malnosso people are real jerks. I don't know what they're talking about. The dropped me off near town, gave me my clothes back - with all the holes I put in it stitched back, thank you very much, and were even nice enough to make sure I was clean shaven before dropped here. These are good people, am I right? Right? Right?

((ooc: If not completely obvious, the Malnosso have returned Sokka from his kidnapping lacking in ANY kind of negativity. There is no downside to ANYTHING. He is perpetually happy. He still, of course, loves his jokes and sarcasm. But he's happy, happy, happy. He's having a wonderful time! This will last until... well, however long it takes for Sokka's happiness to make me start vomiting.]

I am not...not helping. [ a huff. but jack's right -- something's up with sokka. something similar had happened with bones, after a kidnapping. he had been so...not grumpy. ]

It's an after-effect. It's bound to wear off. I hope.

What's wrong with me being like this? I'm happy. Drinking soda with some of my best friends. Swapping manly stories. [Bleeding from the forehead.] What's not to like?

Get a bandanna like his and you'll probably get lice. [ but she clucks her tongue and looks concerned, still, over sokka's cut. ] We might have a bandaid or something?

No need for bandannas or bandaids. [He finishes his soda off and pushes the glass forward.] I'll just ask Katara to fix it. [He starts to get up to leave. It's a wonder if he'll even be able to get home in his current state.]

Oi! I don't have lice, I'll have you know! [Scratch scratch.] Thunderaxe, much as I enjoy imagining the adventures this Malnosso-afflicted you will have on your stroll home, it might be advisable for you to have a piratical escort what will look after you.

Yeah, Sokka. I can't believe I'm saying this but -- Jack should at least make sure you get to your front door.

Sure. [As Sokka stands up, he gives Jack an all too friendly pat on the shoulder.] Sounds like fun! Maybe you could teach me some pirate songs.

[Jack winks at Buffy in an "I'VE GOT THIS COVERED, YOU FINE BABE, YOU" sort of way. And then looks from his patted shoulder to Sokka.] Right. Pirate songs what might drive all thoughts of rainbows and lollipops and BABY ELEPHANTS right out of your manly skull! Aye!

Be sure to draw the line at marauding, Sokka. Otherwise -- take care. [ and then in a frightfully meaningful kind of way: ] Both of you.

[markofthewise]

Okay, no marauding or baby elephants. Check!

[Sokka walks on out of the bar, a kick in his step, feeling like he could take on the world... and give it a hug.]

Oh, bugger. [With a rather worried look at Buffy, Jack hurries after him.] Thunderaxe! Oi! Slow your rather dandy walk, lad! You're not well!

Fine, fine! No rush.

[Besides, suddenly the fountain is more interesting than going home.]

[all7seas]

Dunno about that; you need a bit of a lie-down, if this pirate's any judge. What are you doing now? [Because that fountain is SO not interesting right now.]

I heard once that if you toss a coin into a fountain, you'd get your wish.

[Except he has no coins. What a dilemma!]

Here's a good life lesson, mate: never listen to a tosser. Now--onward to the home of Thunderaxe! Erm....where is this Home of Thunderaxe?

It's that way. [Vagueish pointing southward.] What's a tosser?

A wanker. [Now Sparrow is fumbling for his compass, because damn it, Thunderaxe, THIS RAINBOW-LOVING YOU IS NO HELP.]

[He fiddles in his pocket. Maybe if he has like... a washer or bolt or something, he can toss that in.]

[FINALLY. A HEADING. Jack never has gotten quite an instantaneous response from the magic compass before.] An utter buggering knob jockey. Look! We've a heading! Onward, Thunderaxe! Onward! [Great strides in the right direction at last!]

[Except Sokka has found a pebble and just tosses it into the fountain. HE'S BUSY MAKING A WISH, PLS TO NOT BE INTERRUPTING.]

[Buffy knew. She knew this would be some sort of minor hell, walking this version of Thunderaxe home. She is laughing up her sleeve right now in the cozy bar. Doubtless.]

[He turns to Jack, BIG SMILE FOREVER.]
