Sokka the 50th - [Action/Voice]

When do we start getting some real snow around here? I've seen a little here and there, but the stuff practically melts by the time it hits the ground! My real birthday is in November, but not, you know, the one it is in Luceti. I won't actually be, you know, seventeen this month. That's not the point. But back home, we have some pretty good blizzards this time of year. I mean, sure, there's snow all the time back home, but November snow is... special? Kind of? I'm just hoping we don't have to wait until December for the real stuff. Sunshine and flowers are great and all, but it's getting kind of old by now, you know?

I have your orders ready. Sorry they're a bit late. But, you know how it is. Throw in some super strength, stupid costumes, and hallucinations and you get a little behind. But they're good to pick up.

I finished the sword you wanted. You know, the one you were going to make? But never did? At two in the morning? Yeah, I have it. You should come pick it up.

[Having let everyone know his feelings about the weather, as well as work related updates, Sokka settles into the smithy to get some work done and meet anyone coming to pick up their orders. Afterward, he decides to have some fun in the Battle Dome. He can either be stopped on his way there from the smithy, or someone can meet up with him there.]

Uh huh, sure. Tell you what, we go get the sword, and I'll go get your some dessert.

... fine, I can. [Walking back to the smithy now.] Not that it's cold out or anything. Or that we have a building for people to pick up stuff. Oh no, that would be too easy. Have to make everything complicated. [And he continues like this as he goes inside.]

[Too bad he'll never see the grin that says she appreciates that. And she does say thank you but it's probaby lost to his muttering as he goes back inside. She'll just...stay here and swing her legs on the fountain edge.]

[And he returns holding a sheathed sword. Still going.]

-why do I bother? I should have just worked on something else. [Oh here she is.] Here. [He holds a sheathed sword up.]

[Katie never stuck around to specify the order. So what she's getting is one of Sokka's personal design. A shortsword with a Water Tribe blue sheath and hilt. This emblem is on the circular tip of the hilt. The blade itself, however, is well made but not exceptionally sharp. She is, after all, a kid.]

Hey, it was something to do. I don't get a lot of orders. [So it's not because despite all reasoning, he's mildly fond of you.]

[The look on her face as her hand closes around the sheath is distinctly relief for a second there - and then Katie merely looks appreciative of your handiwork, pulling the blade a few inches out of the sheathe to inspect the metal, face brightening at the emblem. He forged it with steel and it can't hurt her, and therefore it's just a cool sword.

...Maybe she can learn how to fight with two swords. >_> And then work up to a third like some people or not. Either way, she beams at Sokka as she sheathes it again.]
