When do we start getting some real snow around here? I've seen a little here and there, but the stuff practically melts by the time it hits the ground! My real birthday is in November, but not, you know, the one it is in Luceti. I won't actually be, you know, seventeen this month. That's not the point. But back home, we have some pretty good blizzards this time of year. I mean, sure, there's snow all the time back home, but November snow is... special? Kind of? I'm just hoping we don't have to wait until December for the real stuff. Sunshine and flowers are great and all, but it's getting kind of old by now, you know?

I finished the sword you wanted. You know, the one you were going to make? But never did? At two in the morning? Yeah, I have it. You should come pick it up.

[Having let everyone know his feelings about the weather, as well as work related updates, Sokka settles into the smithy to get some work done and meet anyone coming to pick up their orders. Afterward, he decides to have some fun in the Battle Dome. He can either be stopped on his way there from the smithy, or someone can meet up with him there.]

[Kind of took Poland a while to get to the shop because he kept getting shops confused. It's an easy thing to do. Really. But he came! Pouting and generally just acting shy.]

It's Poland...

[Sokka is just over here fixing a display of swords when Poland comes in.]

Oh, hey. There you are. [Yeesh, you only took forever.]

[He nods, looking like he's trying not to completely clam up, but everything about him says he's shy.]

S-so, um, it's all ready and stuff?

[Poor Poland. And Sokka can't even resist teasing him about his order.]

The one with the 'totally cute hilt', right? With flowers? And a bird head?

[Unfortunately for Poland, he doesn't catch it. At all. Who wouldn't want a saber with a bird head with flowers that looks totally cute? Really.]

Yeah, you like, did all that and stuff?

[... that was the most disappointing results ever.]

... yeah, all that stuff. Let me go grab it. [Now a bit deflated, he goes to grab it.]

Uh, you okay? You're like, acting all weird and stuff.

[Sorry, Sokka. Try again next time.]

Huh? Weird? No no. It's nothing.

[Oh but here's Poland's sword. It's currently sheathed in a rather fancy looking scabbard, although otherwise plain. Sokka didn't put much into the design, having figured Poland would inevitably put... sparkly stickers on it or something. As requested, the hilt has a hawk like appearance. He pulls out part of the blade, indicating that he did etch in some flowers into the blade, primarily being the outline of flower blossoms. He then holds the blade out for Poland.]

That's as cute as they come. And perfectly balanced, too! I think you'll be pretty happy with it.

[Poland is definitely pretty happy with it. He's giving it a good look over and when he pulls out the saber from its scabbard, he runs his fingers over it and makes a happy sound before putting it back into its scabbard.]

It's totally perfect! I haven't like, been able to hold a saber in a seriously long time. This is really good craftsmanship too! Thanks!

[Ah, nothing better than to hear his work is appreciated. That's all the payment he needs.]

Oh, I'm totally doing that. You see, you like, gave me this awesome idea. So yeah.

What, really? You want to go through with it? [Color him surprised.]

Yeah, I can like, make a business out of this. I can get people to do me favors and stuff for my produce and like, have people work for me and give them some of the produce as pay! Totally brilliant, right? [Brilliant as in this will never work because who wants to work for this guy?]

[He's already seeing the flaws in this plan.]

Oh yeah, that sounds like... yeah, a real plan. You'll do just fine.

Thanks! You won't like, have to do me new favors since you made me this saber. You'll kind of be like a special customer. Sort of.

Right, right. [Oh Poland, so naive. Sokka actually feels bad about conning you.] Well, if it doesn't work out, no sweat, right?

I don't know. Last time it didn't work, things kind of...sucked. [He became extremely poor. Which is not good for a country.] But I think I totally figured it out this time!

But I do? I just like, couldn't find a good way to sell the produce last time.

And being in Luceti makes it easier... because you don't even have to sell it.

But I can still like, get favors and stuff.
