When do we start getting some real snow around here? I've seen a little here and there, but the stuff practically melts by the time it hits the ground! My real birthday is in November, but not, you know, the one it is in Luceti. I won't actually be, you know, seventeen this month. That's not the point. But back home, we have some pretty good blizzards this time of year. I mean, sure, there's snow all the time back home, but November snow is... special? Kind of? I'm just hoping we don't have to wait until December for the real stuff. Sunshine and flowers are great and all, but it's getting kind of old by now, you know?

I have your orders ready. Sorry they're a bit late. But, you know how it is. Throw in some super strength, stupid costumes, and hallucinations and you get a little behind. But they're good to pick up.

I finished the sword you wanted. You know, the one you were going to make? But never did? At two in the morning? Yeah, I have it. You should come pick it up.

[Having let everyone know his feelings about the weather, as well as work related updates, Sokka settles into the smithy to get some work done and meet anyone coming to pick up their orders. Afterward, he decides to have some fun in the Battle Dome. He can either be stopped on his way there from the smithy, or someone can meet up with him there.]

[~~A BABE~~ Oh, a customer. He watches her for a bit before walking on over, slowly, and gazing at the weapons.]

Nice stuff, huh? I made some of those myself.

[Glancing over ... and smile! Made some of them, huh ... that must mean he works here. That's useful, considering she was going to look for an employee after she was done browsing anyway.]

You did? You're quite talented, if that's true!

[Ah, flattery. That gets a grin.]

Well I wouldn't be much use here if I couldn't even manage that.

Ah, then you're used to making more complicated pieces than these?

Yeah, waaaay more complicated. [He still has the prototype sword he made for Nash... complete with all its strange contraptions and weird functions.]

Oh really? ... What about a gun? [Insert pleasant smile here.]

[And there goes the grin.] I don't make guns.

[That pleasant smile of hers falters just a tad at that. She was really, really in no mood to learn how to use a knife or sword or anything silly like that.]

Hm, that's too bad. Are there any here at all, or are you the only one who makes anything here?

There's other, but none of us make guns. [He pauses however and looks her over. She doesn't seem like a fighter, but it's hard to tell in a place like Luceti. He doesn't like to just give out guns, but...]

We still have some, though. In a display in the back. [And all the ammo under lock and key.]

You do? [ ... ] Would you mind if I took a look at them? I'm missing my own, you see ...

Yeah, this way. [Off he goes, towards the back part of the shop area. There's a small glass display, currently covered by a blanket, with a small collection of handguns. Once he pulls that cover away, he stands on the other side and lets her have a look at them.]

You know how to use one of these, right?

[She'll be following of course -- and once they're unveiled, she'll be leaning over a bit to get a close look at them.

She does giggle a bit at his question while she does this, though.]

Of course, of course! I wouldn't ask for something so dangerous if I didn't know how to use it.

[She may think this is funny, but it's srs business!]

Hey, I'm just making sure, that's all. There's plenty of people who don't even know what these are.

[Not to her, it ain't. Unless he tries to hold out on her, in which it will very quickly become srs business. But regardless of that--]

Is that right ...? I guess it's better to be safe than sorry either way. You wouldn't want to give something like this out to the wrong kind of person, after all!

I just don't want people shooting themselves in the foot, that's all. [He taps the glass.] See anything you like?

[She'll stand up straight and nod, pointing at a old model of an ordinary handgun.]

This one, please!

[He pulls it out and sets it out on the glass, none too worried. After all, it isn't loaded.]

How does it handle?

[She'll be picking it up, looking it over more closely and getting a feel for it. She'll nod to herself and smile after a few seconds of doing this.]

Hmmm ... well enough, it seems!

Great. You'll be shooting... whatever it is you need shooting in no time. [He kneels down and unlocks the safe with the ammo. When he stands back up, he sets some on the counter.] The Malnosso don't give us a lot of bullets, so this will have to do for now.

[She watches as he unlocks the safe -- ... interesting. So, the ammo was under lock and key, was it? ... Hmm. She'll need to be careful with her ammo then.]

That should be enough, anyway. [Smile! And she'll be putting both the gun and the bullets in her purse. In separate compartments, of course. She'll load it when she gets home.] Heehee, it's so strange, to be able to take things like these without having to pay!

Seriously, I wish I could have done this back home. There were a lot of cool weapons I could never afford. [Ah, to own some of those nice swords... spears... axes... and everything.]

It would be nice, to be able to do this back home too ... But the world would very quickly become a much more dangerous place, too!

This place would too. But for some reason, the Malnosso seem to pick mostly the heroic types. I mean, you walk into a room and at least half the people in there will have saved at least a small village.

Ah, is that so? I had no idea! I wonder if there's some reason for that ...

Oh, probably. We're 'special'. That's what the blue guy in charge says anyway.
