Sokka the 50th - [Action/Voice]

When do we start getting some real snow around here? I've seen a little here and there, but the stuff practically melts by the time it hits the ground! My real birthday is in November, but not, you know, the one it is in Luceti. I won't actually be, you know, seventeen this month. That's not the point. But back home, we have some pretty good blizzards this time of year. I mean, sure, there's snow all the time back home, but November snow is... special? Kind of? I'm just hoping we don't have to wait until December for the real stuff. Sunshine and flowers are great and all, but it's getting kind of old by now, you know?

I have your orders ready. Sorry they're a bit late. But, you know how it is. Throw in some super strength, stupid costumes, and hallucinations and you get a little behind. But they're good to pick up.

I finished the sword you wanted. You know, the one you were going to make? But never did? At two in the morning? Yeah, I have it. You should come pick it up.

[Having let everyone know his feelings about the weather, as well as work related updates, Sokka settles into the smithy to get some work done and meet anyone coming to pick up their orders. Afterward, he decides to have some fun in the Battle Dome. He can either be stopped on his way there from the smithy, or someone can meet up with him there.]

Exactly! You could probably see them in that battle dome thing, but... given the way that works, they'd probably attack you.

And that's no good either! [A little hmph! She just wants a pet penguin! Even Teppei denied her that]

Uh, well Charlotte, I don't really think penguins are good for pets.

[Abuh-] Why not?

They're just not that kind of animal! Besides, they like cold places. What would you do with one in the summer?

Oh! [Serious voice...!] I could keep him in an ice cream truck!

[A truck. For ice cream. Okay, he figures if a truck keeps ice cream, it must be cold. And spacious.]

Okay, assuming you get a penguin, where are you going to get this truck?

We don't exactly have the parts to do that, Charlotte! [Yeesh!]

What about if it wasn't a truck, but an ice-cream room?

Well, assuming we were able to get a few extra air conditioning units or refrigerators, maybe that would be-

[Wait, why is he going along with this!?] That doesn't matter! Penguins aren't good for pets!

[And then here comes the insistently sweet tone] But then we could have all the ice cream we wanted in one room! And if I ever do find a penguin, he could be happy!

That... penguins eat fish anyway. [It's not so much that this is a losing argument, it's more that it's one he knows he won't win.]

Oh! then you should build in into the grocery store; we can keep fish in there too! [After all, you need to keep fish cold in order to make sure you can still eat them, right?

... nobody wants a penguin in a grocery store, Charlotte. Maybe you haven't ever seen a real one, but they kind of stink.

No, I saw a real one with Teppei once. [This is lightly pouty tone. Teppei wouldn't let her buy it from the zoo...]

Just once? And now you want one?

Yes! It was so cute!

Right. Of course it was. Well, anyway, there's no penguins here. So no reason for me to build anything.

That's true, I guess...

[...! Oh wait-] So when's your birthday in Luceti? [She doesn't really get the two birthdays thing,but whatever]

February 25th. That's, of course, adjusting for how many days were remaining until my real birthday when I first arrived in Luceti, last December - when it was actually August in my world. If I had waited until the actual date of my birthday, I would only be turning sixteen next week.

[Okay so she thinks that makes sense, but only after a bit of processing. But the, well, it hits her!]

So it's right after Valentines!
