Sokka the 48th -- [Voice/Action]

[After being sent home in his own bed, Sokka had slept in a bit, finally had some real food and then went to see Suki. By now, he figures he should check to see how things went. Thus, he has a message to leave.]

Well that was a lousy week. How's everyone else doing? Did I miss anything?

Oh and uh. I think I might have to take the week off from the smithy. Maybe longer. That goes for training too.

[... yeah, that should do. He'll hang around town acting just a bit odd. For instance, very gently and very slowly opening the doors to shops. He doesn't bother going to the smithy. He's mainly just trying to stave off boredom due to the fact he really can't do much of anything now. Stupid Malnosso.]

Not exactly volunteering, just- nevermind.

[There's also the suspicion that maybe this is more than just super strength. Stupid Buffy.]

What? No, no 'nevermind.' [Concerned, very truly concerned is go! Covered by slight bluster.] If it's about something they might have done to you, there is no nevermind - how are we going to deal with it if you don't tell us?

[A sigh.] It's no big deal. Buffy has this crazy idea I'm some kind of Slayer now because I had a weird dream. And I have those all the time anyway. It's crazy anyway, because I'm not even a girl.

...what do you mean? 'Some kind of slayer?' What does being a girl have to do with it?

A vampire slayer. Apparently Slayers [yes, somehow he pronounces the capital 'S'.] can only be girls. I guess if you're a guy, you're just... a vampire hunter like Derek. Or something, I don't know. Weird dreams and strength are part of the deal.

Okaaay, so. What. They made you just like her?

No I'm not like her! I'm a guy! And I don't just make up words mid-sentence!

[She follows.] Sokka, you make up names for things all the time!

Names, yes. But I don't come up with words like "Fightastic" and stuff. Anyway, that part isn't important!

[Just laying back now, covering his eyes with the mid-section of his arm.]

[She moves to sit on the bed beside him.]

But you're okay, right? It's not like it hurts?

Yeah. I feel fine.

[Just useless. That's all.]

[ action ]

And they didn't.. hurt you.

[Because she has memories that are not hers that are very loud right now.]

[He sits up a bit, resting on his elbows so he can look at her.]

I don't really remember. The drugs were still making me feel pretty woozy at the time. I just know I was in a cell and then... woke up and the robots dragged me away. I can remember some flashes of these scientists peering over me. But I couldn't feel anything and couldn't tell what was going on. I was numb all over.

[That... sounds pretty awful. She's not sure if it's worse to remember something like this happening to you or... not, and be wondering. Katara looks down for a minute.]

I'm glad that... you couldn't feel anything.

[Her hands ball into fists on her lap.] It makes me so mad that they could just take you and - do things to you. I'm sorry I wasn't able to stop it.

I'm sorry I couldn't stop it. [He just shakes his head.] I guess it could be worse. Like... blindness. Or being shrunk.
