Sokka the 46th - [Action]

[As if Sokka hasn't had enough teleporting shenanigans... With the experiment going into its final hours in the early evening until midnight, Sokka is reappearing in quite a number of places. Bedrooms, closets, roofs, the middle of nowhere... it's all quite convenient. ((ooc: In other words, say where you want him to be and that's where he'll be!))

At one point, he falls into the southern lake. Right into the middle... going splash. After sinking quite deep from the height of the fall, he drags himself to shore, but only after he gets there does he realize he lost Boomerang to the bottom of the lake. After vainly attempting to dive for it several times, he'll be sitting on the edge of the lake looking generally defeated and pathetic at the failed attempts. The fact it's dark and cold don't even seem to bother him. Boomerang is everything to him. ((ooc: Retrieving it is locked to Razette, but others can certainly talk to him so long as they don't have the power to go dive for it themselves.))

He also, unfortunately, ends up in the mountains at about midnight. Come early next morning (post-event), an exhausted, bedraggled, and by now somewhat injured Sokka will be dragging himself into town from the plaza, on his way home. He looks pretty much horrible from how much the experiment has abused him.]

Well... okay. If you're sure. [He takes the scale and... trying to keep his gag reflex in check, puts it in his mouth. Blech.]

[Once she's sure he's got that, she'll be tugging him to the lake. Come on! Let's go find it.]

[Okay, okay! He's coming. He'll get waist deep in the water before he stops.]

Okay... I guess, here goes nothing. I mean, if I drown, I'll be back in a week, right? If anyone asks, tell them I died doing something heroic or something.

[She tilts her head at that statement, before smiling encouragingly and taking his hand. Here we go!]

[He instinctively holds his breath as he goes underwater. But of course, that's no good. He opens his eyes, blearily able to see Razette in the water. And he... opens his mouth. Already he can tell something is happening when he does. It's... like breathing, but not. He blinks a few times. It's working?]

[She turns to him underwater, trying to see if he's still following. They're not going to be able to communicate verbally down here, but as long as he's not drowning, he should be fine!]

[Not verbally, but he can gesture. He indicates for her to follow him and takes off into the deeper part of the water. Right now, some light would be awesome. Well... he had been practicing just a bit for the past several months. Maybe he could get it to last for longer than five seconds.

With a little concentration, he focuses on Hyt's magic to focus some light around his hand. It gives a soft glow, enough to make things a little clearer, but not a ton of help in the murky water. Still, it's something. Time to keep moving.]

[Her eyes are more adjusted to the water than Sokka's, so she doesn't need the light as much. Still, she follows without question. She's curious about what he's looking for anyway.]

[He probably should have swam out above water to the appropriate spot, before diving. Right now it's harder to get a fix on where he should be at, but he is trying. After swimming further out, he finds himself staring up at the surface. It's... so, so far away. He stops for a moment, surprised by just how deep he is.]

[She ends up swimming past him at that, only to turn to look at him when she realized he stopped. What was he looking at?]

[Oh right, he's getting distracted. He gets back on track, continuing to swim further on. Being underwater for so long, he's having to fight back to urge to panic and swim to the surface. This is really, really weird. At a certain point, he starts staying close to the bottom, making a zigzag pattern as he searches for anything remotely blue in the mud.]

[She watches, as she never did ask how it looked like. After a while though, she tries searching too, anything that might not have been there the day before shouldn't be too hard to find as long as it wasn't tiny.]

[No luck at all, just yet. Be links blearily at the murky water. Maybe this wasn't any use at all, after all. Even going underwater, he couldn't actually find it! It was just too big to search...]

[Razette's not giving up though, and in a while she comes over with an assortment of things. From fishing baits to shiny rocks... and some other things. Not too many, and probably no boomerang, but she's getting somewhere!

... Maybe.]

[Uh, no. None of those are helpful- well, okay. That shiny rock is nice. Sokka pockets it. But it's nothing he was looking for. So he decides that it can't hurt to keep looking, especially since Razette was trying so hard.]

[She places them back down in a neat little pile, then goes to search again.]

[He's found something! Suddenly he's swimming rapidly to the surface.]

[That surprises her, and it takes her a moment to realize what was going on before she quickly follows, catching up easily enough as water is her domain.]

Boomerang! I found you! [He gives it a kiss.]

[Then realizes an underwater snail was on it.]

Eww! Pwah! Yuck! Ugh! [Coughing and choking and... throwing that snail in the water. Ugh.]

[She watches the snail sink for a moment, then pokes her head out of the water, from her eyes up only. Are you okay? You didn't accidentally swallow the scale, did you?]

[Actually, he ends up coughing the scale up into his hand. Eww, Sokka spit.]
