Sokka the 46th - [Action]

[As if Sokka hasn't had enough teleporting shenanigans... With the experiment going into its final hours in the early evening until midnight, Sokka is reappearing in quite a number of places. Bedrooms, closets, roofs, the middle of nowhere... it's all quite convenient. ((ooc: In other words, say where you want him to be and that's where he'll be!))

At one point, he falls into the southern lake. Right into the middle... going splash. After sinking quite deep from the height of the fall, he drags himself to shore, but only after he gets there does he realize he lost Boomerang to the bottom of the lake. After vainly attempting to dive for it several times, he'll be sitting on the edge of the lake looking generally defeated and pathetic at the failed attempts. The fact it's dark and cold don't even seem to bother him. Boomerang is everything to him. ((ooc: Retrieving it is locked to Razette, but others can certainly talk to him so long as they don't have the power to go dive for it themselves.))

He also, unfortunately, ends up in the mountains at about midnight. Come early next morning (post-event), an exhausted, bedraggled, and by now somewhat injured Sokka will be dragging himself into town from the plaza, on his way home. He looks pretty much horrible from how much the experiment has abused him.]

((ooc: please specify at which point you're running into him?))

[Jack quietly poured a cup for his guest and then one for himself, his neutral expression still not covering up the sour mood that seemed to litter the storm, falling experiment victim, and giant cross ravaged encampment. Handing Sokka his tea, Jack took a sip from his own, courtesy slightly relaxed from days of no rest and troublesome teleportations.]
I take it that you have also been experiencing the bothersome effects of this experiment.

[Jack winced sympathetically, the idea of hammer meeting thigh making him cringe at the mere thought.] Yes, I too have had to halt my efforts in repairing my camp due to this aggravating sorcery.
[He sipped at his tea and pointed a finger towards the large, muddy hole, various imprints of people, items, and drag marks visible in the faint firelight. Broken tree branches littered around the hole, the tree nearest the hole looking almost naked on one side from all the branches lost from its side.]
More in part from the arrival of strange persons rather than my own departure.

Isn't it splendid? XD

[He let out a loud sigh, head bowed slightly.]
Yes, I believe you may very well be right in that. I plan on searching for a domicile to stay in once the experiment shows signs that it has ended.

-_-

[Jack's brows crept up in bewilderment.]
Why would I stick an eating utensil into the wall? [He scratched his cheek.] Seems like a rather foolish action to take.

I thank you for making me aware of this. I am sure that the domiciles here will take some getting used to, but it would be a small price to pay for protection from the more severe of elements. [And falling people...]

[Jack sighed and set his empty cup down, hands folded on his lap and eyes closed as he recalled the total sum of the events that had occurred.]
It began with the storm several nights ago. The heavy rains softened the soil and my tent and camp were partially flooded. Before I could begin the repairs in full, people began appearing during what I believe was the beginnings of the experiment. One man who said his name was Frank fell from the sky and his red coat was caught on a branch that hung over my tent. Mind you, he was upside down and asleep during his appearance.

Before I could rescue him from the tree, the branch snapped...or perhaps his coat tore. I forget which one occurred but he landed atop my tent. He would be the first of many...
[He pauses to let Sokka absorb what has been said thus far, but it is obvious that he has not even begun to tell the story.]

[Jack's expression does not change, though his brow twitches slightly as he dryly replies:] I wondered that myself, however he did not seem to have any memory of how it occurred.

After he departed, a friend of his, a priest by the name of Wolfwood, landed upon the tent as well...and then the large cross that he carries with him struck the center of what was left standing.

He called it his "tool of the trade." After he eventually left my camp, a young girl by the name of Kitty arrived, landing atop what was left of the tent. It was when we in the midst of discussing her apartment being rather close to my camp when I was teleported to several feet into the air...above the muddy, watery hole created by the two men landing and then the large cross's entry.

No, I did not know there was a joke to begin with.
[He poured himself another cup of tea, his expression now sullen and sour.]
And then, for the past three days, any chance to clean and repair my camp have been spent being teleported about the land, arriving in places I had not even seen before and meeting strange new people...while in either a state of utter dirtiness, in half-dress, or without clothes at all. It has been very...trying.

[Flamethrower? He thought back to the eight Aku assassin robots and their weaponry. How could one solve problems with only a weapon that launches fire?]
Well, it is very difficult to fight against something one cannot even see...or even know when it is about to strike. [He let out a heavy sigh, sipping at his new cup of tea.] However, what has been done is done, and it serves one well to be able to move on to what waits on the horizon.

[identity profile] wanderer-jack.livejournal.com 2010-09-28 03:09 am (UTC)(link)
[If only Sokka had seen the world Jack had come from.]
Yes, I am quite sure that will be the case. More tea?

[identity profile] wanderer-jack.livejournal.com 2010-09-28 03:56 am (UTC)(link)
Yes, please...there has been few chances to eat due to the experiment. [Jack refills the cup, and then rubs at his left temple.] Not the strangest thing I have ever witnessed, but probably the most inconvenient...and rather cruel in its humour. [The plaza...oh, the plaza.]
