Sokka the 43rd - [Action + Voice]

[See Sokka. See Suki. See Sokka and Suki but fully dressed. Despite having friends going around dying, getting injured, or what have you, nothing will dampen his warrior spirit... at having his girlfriend around. Which is why he's called off work so he can spend the day with her and show her off to the doubters. This means he'll be dragging her off to stores for ~shopping~ for whatever happens to look cool, interesting, or highly collectible. Or for lunch, eating at Seventh Heaven at a seat by the window naturally.

Pity Suki as she is dragged all through town and maybe even a little outside of town by her over enthusiastic boyfriend. He means well, really. Before this, however, he leaves a message on the journals. One of superb importance not only for his fellow workers, but for his fighting instructors as well. And friends maybe. And people who might happen to be fans. It's been known to happen.]

I am taking the day off. Because I have someone way better than some old smithy. [Indeed, that's all he had to say. He's worked at the smithy every day for two weeks now, so he's ready for a break. And Suki is way better, so he's not just saying that.]

[Oh sorry, are you there, Katara? He didn't notice.]

Maybe we could do it again tomorrow. I could show you the hot springs!

[...Wh-what- oh, Sokka, stop distracting her 8|] That sounds like fun. And I'm not picky about dinner- we had a big lunch. [She gives Sokka a nudge. The doe-eyes can wait until they're alone.]

[ACTION!]

[OH RIGHT. Noticing Katara now, and giving a dismissive wave.]

Yeah, whatever is fine. Sanji gave us a ton of food.

[ACTION!]

Aaaaaall right, then. [She turns back to the garden.] I'll see you guys later.

[ACTION!]

[Suki offers Katara an apologetic smile and a wave. Maybe in a few days the novelty will wear off and they'll behave themselves. ...Maybe.]

[ACTION!]

[Well, with Katara gone, Sokka turns his attention back to Suki...]

... so, what do you want to do before dinner?

[ACTION!]

[kyoshi]

[Poor Katara. They'll have to be extra attentive at dinner. ...Or let Aang chat her ear off.]

Oh... I don't know. All this meeting other people has made me want a bit of alone time.

[ACTION!]

[She... oh. Sokka nods glumly. He understands, she wants to be by herself for awhile.]

... yeah, okay. I guess I'll see you at dinner, then.

[ACTION!]

[kyoshi]

[She gives him to the count of three (though she may have counted fast) before loping an arm through his and dragging him back, looking serious and a bit sneaky.]

You'll have to be quiet and very subtle if you want to sneak into my room without Katara noticing.

[ACTION!]

[Sokka blinks before... oh! OH! He gets it. He grins, getting into the moment.]

I can do sneaky. She won't suspect a thing.

[ACTION!] I c wat u did thar katara

[kyoshi]

[Gooooooood, goooooood. Suki smirks, lifting a finger to her lips for silence, and tugs him along behind her. They'll be like total ninjas. Katara will be clueless!]

[ACTION!] dat sneaky girl :|

[If only they had sneaky ninja clothes like Zuko and Katara. Maybe they can steal them, some time. But Sokka follows Suki's lead. Somehow he resists the urge to hum his own theme music as they go. Of course, once they're near the house, he's probably pressing himself up against the house more than is strictly needed.]

[ACTION!] perhaps she could be... gasp... SNEAKIER THAN THEY?

[Suki is proud of you for being so quiet, Sokka! Now you just have to keep from knocking anything over, and you're golden. She takes a quick peek in through a window to see if she can spot Katara, then nudges open the door. Master of Stealth, Sokka! Think Master of Stealth!]

[ACTION!] NEVAR!

[markofthewise]

[He's thinking of the Master of Stealth. She's right in front of him. He follows carefully, keeping a close eye on everything around him. Unfortunately, not doing so well at things BENEATH him. Like the step up to the door. Which he trips over and falls flat on his face.

To his credit, he utters no sound but a tiny pained grunt.]

[ACTION!]

[kyoshi]

[...Oh, Sokka. She's pround of you for not shouting or anything, but what are the chances that Katara didn't hear that?

Doing a quick about-face, Suki drags Sokka back out, pushing him away from the door.] Change of plans. Go to the side of the house- we'll try my window.

[ACTION!]

[markofthewise]

[Whoa! Sokka nearly falls over again being pulled away, but he quickly gets back into step and follows.]

... is all of this really neccessary?

[ACTION!]

[kyoshi]

[This face, Sokka.]

Are you refusing your mission as a warrior of Kyoshi?

[ACTION!]

[markofthewise]

Of course not. The window, right?

[ACTION!]

[kyoshi]

[She nods, lifting a finger to her lips for silence, then ninjas back into the house to head for her room. If all goes well they won't be discovered at all, ohoho!]

[ACTION!]

[He waits a second... and then goes into his room.

And climbs out of his own window, nearly landing on his face in the process. After carefully crouching and making sure no one spotted him, he moves around the corner of the house to her window and gives it a quiet tap.]

[ACTION!]

[kyoshi]

[Such a good ninja, Sokka! Suki's very proud of you. (Again.) Once she hears the knock, she opens the window, offering a hand out to let him in. Welcome to the Forbidden Lands! ...Don't fall on your face.]

[ACTION!]

[Sokka quickly hoists himself through the window with her help. To his great credit, he does it with only minimal noise. He pokes his head out the window to make sure no one saw, and then closes it behind him.]

Mission accomplished.
