So hey, I kind of have a date I need to prepare for. Anyone got any good ideas about what exactly I should do? I know there's typical stuff like a dinner or flowers and stuff like that. But that's kind of amateur stuff, isn't it? I want to go all out! Sure, Luceti is kind of a boring place at times, but I want to really nail this one good. [Of course Sokka means the actual date (which is merely a practice one), not the person he's dating. Feel free to get that wrong, though.]

Well, you know how it is. You grow up in a village devastated by war, don't meet any girls until you're actually out there fighting in the war. It's amazing how one never manages to get to go on a real date during all that time.

So? Wouldn't there be plenty of time to date your girlfriend after the war?

Almost seven months of time after the war, actually. Except, you know, I haven't seen her in seven months.
