Sokka the 30th - [Written]

[This has been brewing in his mind since yesterday. He decides to finally act on it. Katara, Toph, Zuko, Aang... they all had masters to learn their styles from. Sokka? He had fifteen years of pretending he was a warrior and a mere three days under a real master. Well, this was Luceti. He had nothing but time here. So after he's home for the night and dinner is done, he puts together the following filter]

[Filtered 100% against the Straw Hats, his friends (and anyone from his world), and your usual villainous suspects.]

I'm looking for someone with experience willing to teach fighting. I don't have any special powers, so if your style involves lifting ridiculously huge swords or shooting fire from your hands, forget it. I want someone who can fight for real. I'd prefer fighting with my own sword, but I'll try other styles. I can't offer much in return... but I can try to work out something in exchange.

Besides, I can't lead missions for the White Lotus if I can't even keep up with half of the people in our group.

The Order of the White Lotus. It's... kind of based on a secret organization from my world. It's not very secret here, though. My friend Toph organized it so that there would be people who could protect the village when the Blue Rogues aren't there.

The... Blue Rogues?

On top of the Justice League and this "brigade" I keep hearing about, just how many organizations are there here?

[markofthewise]

The Justice League... they're some kind of superheroes from some other world. I don't think they're recruiting though. The Blue Rogues are a group of fighters organized by Vyse that have been around in Luceti for over a year now. Brave Vesperia isn't really a combat group. They just... do stuff for people, if you hire them. I'm not really sure.

... and the SOS Brigade, that's run by Haruki. It's a pretty pointless group, if you ask me. But sometimes they throw together parties or what have you. I guess for some people, they keep this place from being boring.

So everyone does something different?

Yeah, pretty much. A village like this, it would be somewhat redundant if we all did the same thing.

At the minimum, highly ineffectual.

Exactly. [Even though he thinks at this point maybe the White Lotus is a bit redundant.]

What does everyone do with the troublemakers? If the organizations exist to stop them, what do they do with them?

[markofthewise]

Sometimes they're killed. If it's possible, sometimes they're taken to the tunnels where they can be put in a prison cell where no one can get to them and they have no special powers to escape with.

And the killing isn't permanent? Or even really dying here?

People come back a week later, but they're missing something.

I think it's mentioned in the guide. I've only known one person that died here. I still don't know what he lost. Doesn't seem right to ask.

Yeah, I saw it in the guide. I just didn't really... get it until I saw it in action.

For the record, I've never lost anyone else. And even for an absolute clutz, who's blind and too ditzy to remember her glasses, my Ensign has fought world-class pirates and survived wars many of the strongest men could not.

Ash just isn't the type to stand down from a fight. However overpowered.
