[After a month of planning and a week of top secret work, Sokka has finished the final touches on the prototype canoe for the fleet that has yet to be built. And by finished, he of course made use of Usopp constantly. But what are across-town neighbors for anyway? So after getting his pride and joy finished, including a nice coat of paint (it's blue!) with the Water Tribe Emblem on both sides and in what is most likely a suicidal move, the Straw Hat flag mounted on the back.

An eager Sokka has already managed to pull it all the way past House #4 (with wheels obviously!) so he can test if its seaworthy (well, riverworthy) as he rides it down to the river all the way back towards his home next to the barracks. Even though he isn't planning on getting to it, he's brought along his fishing pole and some bait, just in case he gets swept down to the lake and has to survive on his own fishing and cooking skills for weeks on end while waiting for a rescue that might not ever come. So. Just in case. People may of course notice him sailing downstream and possibly try to drop things on him as he goes under the bridges.

Before he'll go though, he'll 'accidentally' leave his journal open for an 'accidental' voice post.]

Who-sopp? ...Oh, right! That guy on Straw Hat's crew! [As far as he knows, Usopp just joined here; he's still under the belief that Sogeking is a full-time member.] Speakin' of Straw Hat, do ya know where he's livin' in this place? I know 'im from back home!

[Well, he doesn't know whether you're a good guy or bad guy, but he knows that if you're from their world and you don't know where they live, that there's probably a good reason for it.]

I don't know. Last I heard, it was House 46, back behind the grocery store.

Yep! I worked with 'im back home, an' he was always talkin' 'bout his brother! He seemed so happy to hear what he was doin'! [The first part, at least was true, even if Blackbeard had left the Whitebeard Pirates before Luffy became a renowned pirate.]

His brother. Hadn't seen 'im in a few months, at least 'til recently. Luffy's brother set off on his own to hunt down a traitor, an' we only just found out that he got arrested! We set sail to save him, but I got sent here before I could get to 'im! Last thing I remember was bein' frozen solid!

Well, we got to the place where they were gonna execute him, an' we could see 'im from where we were, but after fightin' the Marines fer a bit, one of 'em froze me! It was his Devil Fruit power, an' I couldn't hit the guy 'cause he could turn into ice!

I guess those Mal-nose-oh guys musta thawed me out when they brought me here, though! I'm pretty lucky! If I was frozen for much longer, I coulda died!
