It's weird, isn't it? Someone disappears like that and that's pretty much it for them. If Toph, Katara, or Zuko went home... it wouldn't be a big deal. They'd still be back home waiting for me and sure I'd miss having them here, but I'd be glad they were somewhere better than this place. But if the people I meet here go home, it's kind of like they're dead.
