Sokka the 12th - [Written/Action]

[Filtered to his friends at 80%. You know who you are, people.]

Since my sister arrived, me, Toph, and Zuko have moved to House 56. Right next to Building 5, hard to miss. Just thought I'd filter this though, what with evil demons going around destroying houses and stuff. So feel free to update your address book!

[And that's all Sokka is writing for now. Right now he's working on getting his room set up if his housemates want to bother him. Just about everything is moved over now, not that there was a whole lot to take. Sokka will miss those purple walls back home, though. He's a little bummed out since he recently discovered that his old 'boss' Elisa stopped showing up to give him sandwiches at the smithy and seems to be gone altogether. Sure, he's his own boss now, but he was getting rather fond of jalapenos...]

[She's just gonna hope he doesn't notice her bypassing that offer.]

... you have to meet him. Anyways, wanna head to the store?

Can you call it a store if you don't actually have to buy anything? [OK. Even she knows that dodging attempt was fail.] All right, fine. I could use some stuff for my room anyway.

Great. I'll show you my smithy too. [Sokka grabs his coat, sword, and boomerang. BAM, he's ready to get a move on.]

All right, got it. Anything else I should know?

I would like to see that. [She'll go back into her room and grab her coat and canteen.] Ready when you are!

[KATARA IS OFF LIMITS.]

So, I saw you hanging around the auditions booth.

[And out the door they'll go!]

Man, it's been so long since we ever went shopping with just the two of us. [He pauses and thinks.] Wait, did we ever go shopping just the two of us?

Not unless you count fishing. Or that time I followed you out when you were hunting. You tried to send me back, though, so that definitely doesn't count.

[She'll follow along beside him, close enough to not get separated in case there's a crowd but far enough away so they can both move if they have to. It's instinctive by now. Meanwhile, she's looking around, trying to get the lay of the land.]

Yeah. You know what? We really should get a boat to go fishing in. Besides, fish can't talk if they're out of water. But that's not exactly shopping.

[Sokka doesn't notice the fact she's trying to walk away from him like she's embarrassed or something. GEEZ, KATARA.]

[Oh spirits you did not just...]

Yeah. It's been a while since I've acted on stage, so I thought I'd give it a go.

Do they sell boats, or would we have to make one?

[...wait this is the animal talking thing again. Does this mean that they'll be eating talking things, even if they buy them in the store?] So they really... talk? All of them?

I haven't seen any, so I guess we'd have to make one. Also, it's not fair waterbending the fish into a bucket. It's not sporting!

... but yes. They all talk. Or at least I think they do. I don't know if the bugs talk, but they are pretty tiny, so it'd be hard to tell.

[Oh yes he did! What did he do?]

I bet it'll be a pretty exciting play. Paru has me making prop swords for it.

Well, hopefully it goes smoothly.

So, do they have you cast as some super cool hero guy?

What's not sporting about fishing is that we have a brain this big [hand gestures] and fish have a brain this big [holds up her fingers] and yet we still are the ones waiting for them to come close enough for you to spear!

[Ha! She's been wanting to use that one on you for a while, Sokka. And... she doesn't really want to think about talking food, so moving right along.] How far is it until the grocery store?

Hey, it's not the size of your brain, it's how you use it! Besides, fishing with a line is a lot more relaxing than spear fishing.

[And up ahead is the bridge.] Just across that bridge and on the other side of the plaza.

[... *sobs*]

Well, not exactly...

Oh, a small part, huh? Too bad.

[Yeah, that works. He can roll with a small part.] You said you're helping out too?

Yeah, but only with some props.

I'm sure you'll be able to come up with good ones.

[SOB. NO CRYING FROM MACHO TOPH. NOT EVEN A LITTLE, OKAY? SHE IS MACHO TOPH. But she's totally goin' for that hug.]

Yeah, we're on opposite sides of town now, aren't we? Boo, that really sucks...

Oh, well! I might still see you around school though, right~? ♥
