Sokka the 12th - [Written/Action]

[Filtered to his friends at 80%. You know who you are, people.]

Since my sister arrived, me, Toph, and Zuko have moved to House 56. Right next to Building 5, hard to miss. Just thought I'd filter this though, what with evil demons going around destroying houses and stuff. So feel free to update your address book!

[And that's all Sokka is writing for now. Right now he's working on getting his room set up if his housemates want to bother him. Just about everything is moved over now, not that there was a whole lot to take. Sokka will miss those purple walls back home, though. He's a little bummed out since he recently discovered that his old 'boss' Elisa stopped showing up to give him sandwiches at the smithy and seems to be gone altogether. Sure, he's his own boss now, but he was getting rather fond of jalapenos...]

For some reason I can't help but think it's a plan doomed to fail.

I guess I could punch 'em with a rock fist whenever they start fighting. That'd work better.

That would distract them. Are you prepared to fight them both at the same time? [Because I'll be nowhere around when you decide to do that.]

Yup, my sister. Her name is Katara.

[Whether or not Anise is in the filter, she'll be contacting Sokka over the journals anyway, because--]

Ah - Sokka! When did you guys move? [We're not neighbors anymore :(]

[Nah, she was totally in it.]

A few days ago. The old place just didn't have the space.

Boooo. That's too bad-!

You should still come over some time, though! Even if we aren't neighbors anymore!

Or you could come over here! [It's more fun over here, seriously. No intimidating Colonel guy to tell you what to do.]

You're all the way on the other side of town, though!! [And hush, the Colonel is all sorts of awesome.]

I suppose I could make a trip around those parts again. It is pretty far away, though.

[So Katara sits down and curls up on the edge of the couch. She hasn't had a chance to miss them - as far as she is concerned, she was just with them. But they've apparently been here without her, and so she wants to catch up and see how Toph is doing. (Because. Yes. Mother hen.)]

So Sokka told me that you were here for a week before he got here. What was that like?

[Have a tiny wry chuckle. It's good to see some things don't change.] You? Cook? That I have to see. Not... you know, taste. But see.

[Mission accomplished.]

I'll have you know that my food is actually edible. And not just for me, either!

Right, Sokka. Sure. [She's going to step back and sit on the bed again, but he gets a shot a quick grateful look before she breaks contact.]

Then I guess you won't mind demonstrating tonight!

Oh fine. [He was hoping you would cook a decent meal around here. Not that Sanji hasn't kept them fed well, but there's nothing like authentic Water Tribe cuisine.] Sausages for dinner it is.

This I can't wait to see.

So besides learning how to cook [and she is awesome for not laughing right here], what have you been up to?

[What she really wants to ask is for him to tell her everything that she doesn't remember. Especially about Aang and the last battle and what happened on the Day of Black Sun and if he ever found Suki again. But the fact that all this happened 'without her' is still a lot for her to deal with.]

You mean back home? I guess that depends on the last thing you remember. You remember picking up Toph, I guess. What about when Ba Sing Se fell?

I remember that. [Hoo boy does she remember that. She wouldn't be half so pissed at Zuko if she didn't.]

The last thing I remember... [And she looks away again] we were in the Fire Nation. And we... helped them catch Hama.

I see... [He remembers that fairly well. Besides losing control of his body to that old woman, he remembers how much that hurt Katara. Ouch.]

Well... the Day of Black Sun was after that... we lost. [He'll go on to explain everything that happened then leading up to their escape to the Western Air Temple.]

[And she listens with wide eyes and probably interrupts a dozen times and makes him go back over details that he might not have thought were important. Also, she is suitably impressed by the submarines.]

Wow. So what happened to dad? He's OK, isn't he? And... Suki? Did you ever find her?

Dad was taken to a Fire Nation prison, like everyone else. But he's okay! We even got him out. Suki was there too. But uh, that's after the part Zuko comes in. Should I just skip that?

Evil demons, huh?

Yeah. Mister Flameybrows threatened to destroy someone's house.

Yes. [Arms cross, glower, sigh.] No. What happened?

[She won't admit it, but even through her anger she's a tiny bit curious - how could Zuko have possibly lived long enough to become one of the good guys... without her killing him as soon as he showed his nasty lying face.]
