Upon first meeting Masaomi, Sokka considered him to be an outspoken idiot with an attitude like Sanji. His opinion hasn't changed much, but he pays a little more attention to him lately, since he and Katara spend a lot of time together.
Sokka discovered Masaomi's crush and had a disastrous first meeting with him. He largely dislikes Masaomi as a result and wants him to leave Katara alone.
Sokka convinces Okita Souji to train Masaomi so that he might learn discipline and restraint. Sokka has taken over his training, since Souji was unable to continue. After a month or so, Sokka called it off, finding it too difficult to be around him.
