Fullmetal Alchemist Ed // automailed First meeting: May 4th, 2011 Relationship: Friend / Alchemy Instructor
Although Sokka had met a previous Ed, the two did not get along well. At all. After finding Ed recently returned, without his automail and being attacked by a bear, Sokka was quick to rescue him and eased up on him. Although not exactly close, they do get along now.
Thanks to learning from Winry, Sokka knows enough about automail now to be 'backup mechanic' when Ed has problems and Winry isn't available to work on it. Ed has also agreed to teach Sokka alchemy and the two practice each evening.
Sokka learned about what happened to Ed and his brother, the price they paid to learn the 'truth', and what drives them forward. This has changed Sokka's perception of him significantly.
By request, Sokka has started pushing Ed to asking Winry out and staring a relationship with her.
The two of them seem to have earned the ire of a local bear, who has already attacked them in the forest a few times.
