Fullmetal Alchemist Winry // installing First meeting: December 11, 2009 Relationship: Best Friend / Co-Worker
Winry was among the first people Sokka ever met in Luceti, where she was building snowmen at the time. He encouraged her to get out more, eventually convincing her to help him take over the smithy. They've been co-workers ever since.
Sokka had a crush on her for several months, but eventually conceded to Haruki one he discovered she was more interested in him. Despite that, the two have had awkward romantic moments since then, usually experiment-related. After Winry broke up with Haruhi, Sokka pushed Ed towards asking her out.
They have shared many things. Among them, Sokka has talked about his mother's death and what happened to Yue. Winry has told him about what happened to her own parents. He tends to not tell her about what happens to him on drafts and missions, though.
The two often collaborate on mechanical projects together. Sokka has learned a lot about automail from her. Though he cannot construct it himself, he knows enough to do maintenance and repair work on it.
