Sokka the 82nd - [Action]

When Sokka woke up in the smithy, he was, to say the least, concerned. He had apparently died and gone to weapon heaven. And then of course, there was some horrible saber-toothed moose lion on the floor next to him. Feeling rather panicked, Sokka scooped up his boomerang (and the awesome looking sword next to it) and snuck out of the smithy without waking it up. Upon examining the boomerang, he noted it was strange how it had a few extra notches and scratches to it, like it had seen some rough times. That worried him.

The town proved even more mind blowing. It was huge. Buildings raising up beyond what he could imagine and there were so many people and houses. And not a single inch of snow. In fact, he felt rather hot and he immediately had to shed his parka. He felt lost and confused and was worried about where the rest of his tribe was. Where was Katara? Or Gran-Gran? He needed to find them. And thus he began to explore town, from one shop and house to another. Sneakily.

At some point, Momo comes landing on his shoulder. A nice lemur. A nice delicious lemur. Sokka easily catches it (since it doesn't resist).

"Mmm. Hello meat. You're just in time for lunch!"

And so with lemur in tow, Sokka made a short stop in the woods, making ready to start a fire and cook a lemur. It would be wise to stop him. Otherwise, he'll be searching the town for people from his tribe and you know, a reason for why he has wings now.

Frozen. Right. Well you can tell your grandpa if he wants to help anybody, the Fire Nation is that way. [He points towards the east and starts to walk away.]

[At this moment, Sokka was sneaking into the clothing shop. Completely oblivious to being followed, because he was never taught about checking to see if he was being followed. But he ends up standing in the doorway, gawking at all the clothes.]

... whoa.

[swordbends]

Maybe some other time. My hands are full right now and I don't like embarrassing girls.

[breezing]

...Hey! Where are you going? You're not really going out in the woods, are you?

[ Argh she can't even tattle on him. ]

I said you wouldn't believe me, but you asked anyway. I can't leave you alone if you're going to go do stuff when you don't even know the stuff to look out for!!

[The boy stopped in the doorway and Souji found himself stuck in the middle of the road. He stood stock still, watching as the stranger stared inside. The building had to be important - maybe it had clues? There were signs posted up along the walls, but they were too tall for Souji to see easily.

He paused for a moment, then cautiously began to creep forward, standing on tiptoe to look in through one of the windows. His hands barely catch the edge of the sill and he struggles to pull himself up to see.]

Nngh....

[swordbends]

Oh, I'm real worried now. But I think I'll be fine without a five year old around to protect me.

How nice of you to be so concentrate and think about that, but I really think it'd be the other way around.

[swordbends]

Yeah. Whatever. But if you want, you can help cook this cat monkey.

[She's a girl, so she's gotta be a better cook. And it'll make her feel useful.]

And Katara's going to be in the village, not out somewhere else. So if you go there, it's the wrong way, so there. [ that is pretty much the only other thing she can think of to say to encourage him not to go live in the woods which sounds dangerous. ]

[Well. He heard that. Blinking, he steps back and looks at the window. Er.]

Uh. Need a little help there?

No thanks. I'm not that hungry. And besides, I'm sure he doesn't want to be eaten. Do ya little guy?

[swordbends]

[And now she has his attention.]

Katara? You've seen her?

[swordbends]

Probably not. But he had the misfortune of being made out of meat. More for me, though.

Are all Water Tribe boys as smart as you are? [So much sarcasm.]

[A shrug.] Not all. My Gran says I got my brains from my dad, who got it from her.

[breezing]

No, but I know where she would have woken up. And it's back where I was trying to get you to go in the first place! The house. Maybe the clinic, if she remembers stuff, but I bet she's just in town or near the house, or even in the room she'd have woken up in.

[swordbends]

... you're really confusing, you know that?

Then surely you must've noticed the place with all the food? And you don't have to pay a single copper piece?

If this animal is here, it might be someone's pet.

[breezing]

It comes with being a mystical spirit guide. You're supposed to be confusing when you're a mystical spirit guide. Because that's what mystical spirit guides DO.

[ Now she's making stuff up. Obviously. ]

But anyway, will you stop being silly and come back to town now?

[swordbends]

Free food is as ridiculous as spirits. Whatever is going on there, it's obviously a trap. As for this guy... does he look like a pet to you?

[He drops to the ground immediately and backs up, surprised at being caught and fearful of what will come of it. He takes a few more steps to where he's closer to the corner of the building and then returns to being calm.]

You're pretty ridiculous. I mean here we are in this different place, with wings, and you still refuse to believe in Spirits? How thick is your skull?

And honestly? It's pretty well-groomed. Wild animals usually don't look so nice.

[He whistles, just to see how the lemur will respond.]

It's the fire that catches her attention. The smoke drifting through the trees, the glow flickering through bushes if she looks in the right direction. Daylight means that the fire isn't for warmth or light. Though it's no longer summer in Luceti, it's not the cold winter season yet. But it's time to start stocking up, to spend more time in the woods hunting than time in the village.

And it's easier, much easier to be alone. To give herself time to think, time to forget for a few moments that she's still here. The talking animals have long since stopped bothering her. These woods have almost become home.

Curious, Katniss quietly makes her way towards the fire. She's dressed in her typical brown leather jacket and sturdy dark pants, boots laced tightly and hair back in a braid. She carries her bow in one hand, a quiver with arrows carefully resting between the mockingjay wings on her back. Her steps are silent, that of a natural hunter.

Until she comes to a quick stop in the clearing. She recognizes the boy. Doesn't understand why he looks... younger. Or why he's trying to cook that terrifying lemur she had met months ago. One of his pets.

"You'll regret that."

Riiiight, see, I already have a spirit guide. It's called Boomerang. And it says that I need to go that way. [He points in the direction he came from.]
