[More to Haruhi's surprise than anything, her first thought to this is "it isn't February." She wonders, briefly, why she had this thought. After all, Sokka had really done nothing to her (well, other than the spirit possession encounter but that's a while other thing) and hell, she hadn't noticed anything wrong - just had some talks with Winry which proved that something was. And perhaps because of that, this post isn't for her and really ought not to relate to her.

But she's also not dumb. She heard that ninja guy say that Sokka had a death penalty back on that post about the spirits and she heard everyone's reactions to that. This thing reeks of regret, and it's in thinking about that she realizes "Oh." Of course, this is similar (arguably more mature, but similar) in feel to the reaction she had that one February. After she made that astronomically stupid, hurtful choice which still haunts her. Sure, the situation is different--
