Ikki didn't have any trouble catching Sokka that morning - largely because she was usually up and about to eat breakfast when he was. Ikki usually woke up around five or six, which made sense given how early she tended to go to bed. Since Aang was also an early riser, airbending lessons usually took place in the morning before or after breakfast. Today it had happened before, and so Ikki came in through the front door to bound into the kitchen, noting Sokka and detouring to wrap a hug around his waist.

"Morning! How're you today, Uncle Sokka? What are you having for breakfast? I want to have oatmeal! I'm going to put banana slices on it do we have any bananas?" Her cheerful chatter came out at a mile a minute, as per usual.
