Sokka the 26th - [Action]
[It's a busy couple of days at the smithy for Sokka. Aside from the huge playground order, which is keeping the place running all day long, he has a few other projects to work on. His own private supply of Batarangs (the boy has gotta have a hobby or twenty), Smoker's Jitte, and hey, he even finished off that saw he was supposed to finish a long time ago for Edward's client, the Medic. It's amazing how much work a guy can get done when he doesn't want to talk to Raphael, because he's a jerk, and Winry because of soap opera-esque brooding. Well, Edward, at least Sokka still has you, you freakish mountain of a teenage boy.
He'll be home later for awhile after work, but then he'll be heading to the roof of the house. Why? Because it's time he got rid of that spotlight with the Batman symbol on it before it causes any unwelcome attention. Or at least, he needs to get the metal bat piece on there off. Too bad it's welded there. All that work to pry it off might cause him to accidentally turn the thing on a few times and illuminate a certain emblem in the sky. Oops?
Naturally of course, feel free to get up in Sokka's business at any point in the day. He also has his journal open, so he'll certainly speak up if his name is mentioned.]

[Action] It's cuz he hangs out in the coolest part of Luceti
Wow, that's going to look good when you're done.
[Action] it's totally true, blacksmiths are awesome |D
Edward pauses in his work to look up at the voice, then nods in greeting, examining the lines of the piece.]
I was hoping to be finished by now.
[Action] we're the smithy brigade, we should have parties and stuff
Who is it for? They're gonna ow you one heck of a favor after this.
[Action] I'm trying to envision ed at a party and it boggles my mind
...It's for Lord Sigmund. He owes me nothing.
[Action] He can hover at the punch bowl the entire time
[Action] the obnoxious chaperone who prevents punch-spiking and tomfoolery
[Action] I'm sure Raph would manage to spike it anyway
[Action] the bastard strikes again 8|
Lord Sigmund saved my life; in return, I pledged my own life to serving him. Forging a suit of armor at his request is the least of what I would do for him.
[Action]
... I've saved lots of people's lives. Nobody ever pledged their life to me. I dunno, Ed. I think this Sigmund guy saw you coming. I'd be practically a king if I had every person I saved pledging themselves to me.
[Action]
[Action]
So how did he save you, anyway? Was your village going to get flooded, maybe? Or possible incinerated? Because I stopped that from happening to lots of places.
[Action]
My village was being ravaged by monsters, due to the giant chain the Order had affixed to the ground. Lord Sigmund cut it and saved us all. Before that, when I joined him, he personally saved me from being killed by an ogre. No one had ever done such a thing for me.
[Action]
Oh. I see. [Only not really. He's wondering if maybe your world is just full of a bunch of jerks who never help each other for ogres.]
[Action]
You seem unconvinced. [Ed was just out in the middle of nowhere. ....Actually, it's true, his world's full of useless NPCs who can't help themselves because they apparently suck.]
[Action]
Oh no, I believe it happened exactly like you described it. I just don't get the whole pledge thing. But, different worlds and all that. No big deal.
[Action]
Hm. As I said, I have no regrets. [Glind, grind, grind, scrape-] ...Is there a safe place I can keep the armor while I finish it? I don't want anyone else to take it, assuming it's available.
[Action]
[Action]
...May I ask you a personal question?
[Action]

[Action]
That was Princess Yue, from our sister tribe. It was kind of complicated, but we really liked each other. Her father asked me to be the one to protect her when the Fire Nation navy invaded, but in the end I failed her. When the Moon Spirit was killed by Admiral Zhao of the Fire Nation, she gave herself up to become the new Moon Spirit to save the world from going into chaos. It was the last time I ever saw her again.
[Action]
How did you move on?
[Action]
I don't know. It didn't happen all at once. [And really, he's never completely got over it to begin with.] But... it's not like she died. She's still alive. We just can't be together, that's all.
